Every situation requiring Baffles Curtains is unique. When JPS is the choice however, the result is the same-effectiveness and long life cycles. In every instance, JPS consults with the client, analyzes the situation and fabricates and installs the Baffles.

Diversion Curtains Equipped with Flow Windows

JPS Diversion Curtains can be installed with custom Flow Windows to create specific flow patterns in waste water treatment facilities.
Flow Windows allow water to move from one contained area to another, or to slow water movement so increased oxygen can be added by means of installed aerators. Flow Windows can be opened or closed to establish serpentine flow patterns.

Some Flow Windows are installed at the top so that effluent particles settle at the bottom before water passes through. Other Flow Windows are installed lower, thus holding back warmer water while releasing cooler water at the bottom. Regardless of the design, JPS Division Curtains can be equipped and installed with Flow Windows for optimum water treatment control.

Standard Duty Municipal Baffles

These are designed for use in municipal water treatment plants where energy levels are low, and in dredging operations or turbidity projects where the control of silt migration is paramount. They are also effective for municipal treatment plants processing potable water. This type of curtain provides durable service and long life under less-than-extreme conditions. The Standard Duty curtains are designed to the same specifications as the JPS Heavy Duty Industrial curtains, except that the reinforcement rods are eliminated and a fixed, replaceable floatation device is used.
