Every situation requiring Baffles Curtains is unique. When JPS is the choice
however, the result is the same - effectiveness and long life cycles. In every instance, JPS consults with the client, analyzes the situation and fabricates and installs the Baffles.
Because of the vast differences in power/volume ratios and the higher treatment rates of today's lagoons, JPS offers an Industrial Baffle Curtain constructed from the same materials as our Standard Duty Baffles, but engineered to withstand the higher stresses of industrial, and some high energy municipal, systems.
|
The Industrial Baffle is designed with a "cross weave" pattern of nylon web throughout its core. The "cross weave" pattern provides strength and durability, while allowing the flexibility of our Municipal Baffle. This baffle is an economical solution for projects which encompass all energy levels. It is particularly efficient for lagoon applications with varying depths.
This Baffle is also designed to withstand floating aerators within a half foot per aerator hosepower - 50% closer than its nearest competitor. Another design feature of the JPS Industrial Baffles is its ability to withstand large changes in lagoon water levels. 10 to 15 foot level changes are not a challenge to this Baffle.

Scrim
Nylon, with rip stops every fourth filament.
Ballast and Bottom Seal
Continuous 5/16" galvanized chain, sealed into bottom pocket with hand stitching.
Stitching
Silicon-treated nylon, lock-stitched, sewn by hand.

Floats
External, blow-molded polypropylene with UV inhibitor,
on both sides of curtain.
Toggles
Composite polymer, compounded for elasticity and
infinite life in waste water. Designed to release if
impacted before baffle is damaged.
|
Top and Bottom Straps
12,000-lb tensile strength nylon, hand-sewn.
Side Straps
20,000-lb tensile strength nylon, hand-sewn.
Cross-weave Design
12,000-lb tensile strength nylon, hand-sewn every
5-feet in the vertical, and every 5-feet in the horizontal.
Cross weave design can be increased in situations where extreme stresses are involed.
